(ePrintWire.Org) – LOS GATOS, Calif. – One of the most eco-friendly areas in the nation, Santa Clara County has a new complimentary magazine focused on its healthy, fit, and eco-friendly residents and businesses. Eucalyptus Magazine started publication this week with an inaugural run of 10,000 copies and future plans to expand distribution throughout the Santa Clara County.

“I created a magazine to highlight the people and businesses in our area that are focused on healthy, fit, and eco-friendly lifestyles,” said Michaela Marek, publisher of Eucalyptus Magazine. “I know the magazine will be an important connection that fills a missing link in our community.

Advertisers are agreeing that Eucalyptus Magazine fills an important need in the Bay Area. Initial edition advertisers included Wente Vineyards, California Baby, Los Gatos Spa, Health NOW Medical Center, San Francisco Herb & Natural Food Company, REC Solar, SunWize Solar, and Shakti Active Wear, among others.

“We have seen great advertiser response for our magazine,” Marek said. “Market research indicates strong demand for eco-friendly products and services. We are the first to connect customers and businesses while this trend is on the rise.”

Eucalyptus Magazine is also definitely putting its words where its mouth is when it comes to promoting local and eco-friendly lifestyles. The publication is locally owned, produced, and printed by a certified green business on FSC certified paper.

“The green mission of the magazine is truly boundless and includes all the operations of the publication,” Marek said. “It’s critical that we practice what we preach.”

Eucalyptus Magazine will also soon be organizing networking events where attendees can create personal and business relationships.

“Sometimes people who strive to live a healthy lifestyle can feel lonely because they don’t see anyone else doing the same thing,” Marek said. “Eucalyptus will connect the community.”
