Email Friend Contact Author (ePrintWire.Org) – In his novel GEEZER, a gene is extracted from a bristlecone pine tree to be delivered by a modified AIDS virus across the blood/brain barrier, with the ironic potential to increase human lifespan by decades. Called "a page turner with mind-expanding possibilities" by critics, the novel was nonetheless a commercial failure due to its small press roots and lack of advertising. Now author Jonathan Lowe was come up with the Killer App for iPhone, something everyone with a cell phone will want. And he's giving the idea away. Why? "Well, it was just a prediction I made in a story," Lowe says, "so I didn't really consider the commercial application until someone who read the story pointed it out to me. Now that the idea is out there, I'm sure someone will develop it, and get a patent. I just hope people remember where the idea came from, and give my other ideas a chance too." Lowe has published four novels, is working on a fifth, and has also had articles in over two dozen magazines on subjects ranging from ghost towns to astronomy. The YouTube video describing the idea can be viewed at his author website, which is jonathanlowe.wordpress.com
