(ePrintWire.Org) – For the first time in a few months it's good news for fans of lifestyle and shelter magazines, as Southern Flourish prepares for its debut on March 15.

"Southern Flourish is unlike any other current publication--both virtually or on the actual newsstand," said Kate Hash, founder and editorial director of Southern Flourish. "This publication is created for and by 20- and 30-something Southerners with an eye for modern living and the the new Southern lifestyle."

The magazine's 100% digital format means that readers can click-through to learn more about both the people and products featured in the magazine, as well as easily share pages with friends and embed the magazine on their own blogs and websites.

"The magazine reading experience is changing, but the yearning for sophisticated, fun and quality content is not," said Hash. "With Southern Flourish, we hope to prove that the industry isn't 'dying,' it's just evolving. We're excited to help lead that evolution."

The premiere issue features home tours in Austin and Nashville, long weekend travel guides to Charleston and Louisville, Derby-inspired fashions, rethought Southern food classics, and a behind-the-scenes look at the life of Katie Cook, a popular host on Country Music Television who graces the cover of the first issue.

"Katie was a natural choice for our first issue," said Hash. "She lives a super modern, creative and quirky Southern life that our readers will no doubt relate to. She is also an incredibly talented person that we know our readers will love to learn more about."

What's more, Southern Flourish's articles are composed by writers living in different parts of the South. Writers for the premiere issue hail from South Carolina to Louisiana to Virginia, and include some of the web's most prominent Southern bloggers, including Sherry & John Petersik of the immensely popular Young House Love.
