(ePrintWire.Org) – James Hooks, entrepreneur and consultant, along with the Singulus Publishing initiative, have announced that the book “SUICIDE: How Modern Black Culture Is Destroying Black American Progress” will be delayed until 2011.

“While we had hoped to launch the project by third quarter of this year, the announced September 10th release date just wasn't realistic with the goals we had in mind both for the book and other related material,” said James Hooks. “The publishing industry has changed dramatically over the last few years, and the message we are trying to convey may not be best suited for a traditional format.

“We remain pleased with the amount of interest the book has generated, and anticipate launching the project and ancillary material in first quarter 2011.”

The author, whose unreleased book has been described by one entertainment industry insider as “a challenge to preconceived notions on black accountability in the media”, will be refocusing both the marketing and message, and potentially the format, of the “SUICIDE” project.

“We have been entertaining some offers presented to us by outside parties,” continued James Hooks, “and look forward to some amazing new developments in the coming months.

“We are just as excited about the project as ever, if not more so. We are simply using the delay to rethink and restructure the project, to look at the new options presented to us, and more wisely decide how to best use our combined resources to get the message out to as broad an audience as possible, whether it is initially via the book or another media venue.”

No set release date nor details on how the project will be expanded upon were announced by James Hooks or Singulus Publishing.
